The first games of the 9th edition of the tournament have been played on Monday afternoon

They have all been surprised for the quality of the facilities and have expressed their satisfaction.

Throughout the afternoon, 28 simultaneous matches.

On Monday, April 15th, most of the teams arrived to Salou to play the largest basketball tournament in Spain: Mare Nostrum Cup. Some others shown up during the weekend and all of them are hosted in three different zones: the Ohtels Playa Oro and Villa Dorada and the Camping Cambrils Park. They have all been surprised for the quality of the facilities and have expressed their satisfaction.

At noon, an informational meeting was held with all those responsible for each of the participating clubs so that they know first-hand about the work dynamics during these days: match schedules, transport to arenas or how the App for to mobile devices works in order to know the results of each day.

Afterwards, the teams have been able to have lunch at the facilities where they are hosted, just before playing the first games of the day. Throughout the afternoon, 28 simultaneous matches were played and former NB player, Audie Norris, Director of International Relations at the MNCB, has been seen in some venues to keep up the development of the day.

At the end of the fist day, Marc Guash, MNCB Director, explained: “I hope everyone is able to enjoy, within the next days, a great basketball tournament these amazing facilities.”

It is worth to remember that this edition of the Mare Nostrum Cup Basket – City of Reus will be held until April 17th. There are 214 teams playing, from all ages from pre-mini to junior, coming from all over the country as well as internationally (Italy and Ireland).
