The Russian team defeated San Jose Earthquakes by 0-6 and lifted the trophy of the II MCC
Jiangsu Province is the winner of the GU13 category, after beating Shandong in the final
FC Zenit of Saint Petersburg became the winner of the second edition of the Mediterranean Champion China in the BU14 category. The Russian club succeeds Valencia CF as champion, after beating San Jose Earthquakes 0-6. The other winner of the MCC has been the local Jiangsu Province that defeated Shadong Luneng in the GU13 Final to become the first Chinese club to lift the MCC trophy.
In the BU14 Final, the Russian team had already a clear advantage in the halftime, winning 0-3, with all the goals scored in just 3 minutes, between 22′ and 25′. Quakes never gave up but the comeback was an impossible mission and they also conceed three more goals in the second half.

The second edition of Mediterranean Champion China, the only youth football tournament with offical FIFA license in Asia, ruled by the Spanish company Mare Nostrum Cup, finished on Friday, August 2nd, with the Awards Ceremony and the Closing Party. The tournament has been again a success with 56 games played by 26 teams in the final phase in Kunming, after a previous where over 900 Chinese clubs played to reach the final stage and face the international teams.
This year the amount of clubs coming from outside of Asia increased, with a total of 7: RC Celta de Vigo from Spain, Crystal Palace (England), TSG Hoffenheim (Germany), FC Zenit (Russia) and San Jose Earthquakes (United States) played in the men category, while Espanyol and Valencia, both from Spain, competed in the women category. In total, there were 16 clubs in search of the U14 Boys title and 10 competing for the U13 girls. The best Asian teams of the MCC 2019 will play the Mare Nostrum Cup 2020 in Salou which will be celebrated during the Easter holidays.
All the MCC games were broadcasted via streaming to millions of viewers and the stands of the Kunming facilities have been full of people during the whole tournament. But the most important thing was that the boys and girls who have taken part of the MCC had a blast and learn a lot from this experience. We cannot wait for MNC 2020!!
